2023 August 19th & 20th V8 Super Cars and Support The Bend

The OTR SuperSprint kicked off On Thursday on the cool and damp night atEast Terrace Murray BridgeStreet Party, this continued into Fridays racing. Saturday had record numbers at the circuit and the grid and pit walk was fully booked. The day was full of entertainment for all the family from balloon twisting to spectacular aerobatics displays. David Reynolds and Matt Payne had the job of selecting the winner of the best camp site the group won next year’s camp site and a trophy see image. Straight after the chequered flag the Choirboys and Kingswood took to the stage rocking out and finishing off a magnificent Saturday. Sunday was filled with sunshine and loaded with on track action.

Trouring Car Masters.

Young South Australian Joel Heinrich is no stranger to the Bend circuit. Heinrich’s prior track knowledge paid off as the debutant wins race three and a new lap record .The Queenslander Ryan Hansford was first place overall in the Trouring Car Masters.

Toyota 86 Series

RyanCasha a Queenslander won the 100thrace in the Toyota86 Series. Cory Burcher 2nd and Fellow Queenslander and 3rd Fabian Couthard ( NSW).

V 8 Super Utes

Race four on Sunday was declared a non-race and no points awarded, multiple utes involved in a start line incident. #52 Dean Brooking, #41 Adrain Cottrell and#18 Cody Brewczynski where the main vehicles affected.

V8 Super Cars

Brodie Kostecki is aiming towards the 2023 championship, fighting off Cam Waters to seal an OTR SuperSprint clean sweep.

Kostecki (#99 Coca-Cola Camaro) won all three races over the weekend for the first time, with Waters (#6 Monster Energy Mustang) just 0.9468s away by the chequered flag.

Thomas Randle (#55 Castrol Mustang) made it three podiums in as many starts, with Nick Percat (#2 Mobil 1 NTI Mustang) a standout fourth for Walkinshaw Andretti United.
