2024 May 5th Marque Sports Car Association The Peter Hall Memorial Six Hour Regularity

Sixteen teams took part in the six hour Peter Hall Memorial Regularity race on Sunday 5th May. The beautifully sunny calm Sunday was disturbed by the action on the track at Mallala. Car #53 has a rolled over Nick Wood of the Team Mg Car Club Geelong (Team A as there are two teams from Geelong) and Nick did not finish and wasn’t hurt. It was the first time here inSouth Autralia for team A and B from Geelong. They said “they would be back” #115 Mike Shemwell’s Caterham 7 carcaught alight on Friday in practice, so Mike did not finish. #22 Bob Lomas of the Spritely Gentlemen’s Racing Team lost a wheel also in practice but continued to complete. #24 Mike Welsh also from the Spritely Gentlemen’s Racing Team hit the tyre wall at turn two was able to keep racing.Of the sixteen race teams six teams travelled from Vic and one from Deniliquin. Each team had a minimum of four drivers and three cars, or a maximum of six cars and six drivers. Each team had to have a car on the track for the entire six hours and each driver had to nominate a lap time that each driver had to try and successfully keep to within a second of each lap. It’s not the fastest car/team that’s wins it’s the most consistent.
